Instructions:-

1. Prepare the Cranberries:
Rinse the cranberries under cold water and discard any soft or damaged ones.

2. Cook the Sauce:
Combine the cranberries, sugar, and water (or orange juice) in a medium saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.

3. Simmer and Stir:
Once boiling, reduce the heat to a simmer. Stir occasionally and let the cranberries cook until they burst and the sauce thickens, about 10-15 minutes.

4. Add Flavorings (Optional):
Stir in the orange zest, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt for added depth of flavor. Let the sauce cool slightly.

5. Cool and Serve:
Transfer the sauce to a serving dish and allow it to cool. It will thicken further as it cools. Serve at room temperature or chilled.

Tips for Perfect Cranberry Sauce:
Sweeten to Taste: Add more sugar gradually if you prefer a sweeter sauce.
Add Texture: For a chunkier sauce, mash some of the cranberries with a fork and leave the rest whole.
Flavor Variations: Try adding chopped nuts, raisins, or a splash of liqueur like Grand Marnier for a gourmet twist.

Storage:
Leftover cranberry sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week or frozen for up to three months.

Enjoy this cranberry sauce with turkey or ham or even as a spread on sandwiches. Its versatile and bold flavor will surely elevate your holiday meals!
